"Convenient traveling."
It's like a dorm room. All we needed was a room and it was perfect. There is a restaurant in the camp site and you should definitely eat your breakfast there. If you have the time, and the energy, don't use a taxi. If you are coming from another location, use the metro to stop in Cipro, then take the bus on the other side, (2-3 blocks of walking) to Aurelia (the bus number is 200something, in front of a chinese supply shop). Stop in front of a department store, called Panorama, which is right across Villa Roma. Do not follow this direction if you are passed 9-10PM. I can't guarantee you will catch a bus.

"Cardinal Hotel St Peter is a Keeper"
The desk manager is welcoming. I was shown to my room readily, the room being and well laid out. For a woman travelling alone, I heartily recommend this hotel. The lobby and all common areas are comfortable, clean, and above all present as safe. The room service manager also keeps in mind the comfort of her guests. She brought me flowers after my first day. The neighborhood of the hotel is quite appealing as well. I book a second stay at the Cardinal Hotel St Peter, and toward the end of the stay, my mother will be joining me. I only recommend hotels of high caliber (either a well deserving 3* or higher) as a place for my mother, a retired educator, to enjoy. I am very much looking forward to our joint stay at the 4* rated Hotel Cardinal St Peter.

"Good location and helpful staff"
My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights and were happy with the hotel. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. They gave us good recommendations for restaurants. The hotel was close to the metro A line which made all our transportation easy. It was great that the hotel included breakfast and free wifi. The shower was big enough and had a glass door. The mattress was not super comfortable but everything else was more important to us. We would stay here again.

"Excellent hotel. Recommended"
A little way outside the city in the Monte Verde area, this is a very good hotel. There is a tram link nearby which will take you into the city and there is an hourly coach to the Vatican for E1.50. We only ate breakfast but it was very good. Service was excellent and friendly. Rooms are a little in need of refurbishment but are in overall very good condition. Nice pool. We would stay there again if visiting Rome.

"Quiet, cool, safe and basic Vatical Pilgrimage hotel at a very reasonable price."
This Vatican "Pilgrimage" hotel is a great place in Rome: it's quiet and easily accessible by bus, with a lovely garden. It's almost too swanky now: I've stayed here in the 1980's when it was really spartan: showers down the hall, no AC, no baths in each room, no tv... a real Roman experience. Now it has all those things. The staff is friendly and very helpful, the rooms are clean and basic, but with phones, tv, baths, AC, etc. The bar is fairly basic, and the breakfast: well, if one avoids the instant eggs and greasy bacon, the rest is great. Here's the deal with Domus Pacis: Rome, especially in the summer is HOT and LOUD, this place is quiet and cool, easily accessible by bus to the Vatican (they'll even offer you Vatican stamps and postal service, the fastest in Italy). By American standards, it's not chic at all, but it's very reasonably priced and quite safe. Now getting to the bus stop is a bit of an experience, since the road in front is very busy, and, to get into Rome one has to go right, cross the street, and catch the bus on the opposite side of the road. Still, my mother (who has trouble walking about), my wife and my 13 year old daughter all really liked it. It's my third stay here, and I when I'm in Rome again, I plan to return. For American standards: well above a Motel 6, sort of like a Holiday Inn Express, but a bit more spartan (no workout room, say). Hope that helps some of you understand the character of the place. dCiao!

Encompassing in its folds part of the area next to the Vatican, the Aurelio neighborhood is known for being a residential haven away from the hustle and bustle of central Rome while still being connected to the heart of the city. The area's traditional restaurants, local shops, and neighborhood cafés bordering the piazzas make it the perfect place for an evening stroll.
