"Nice hotel, bit tired, good pool ................."
Lovely comfortable clean rooms, good breakfast, good selection of all you could hope for including a hot choice. Hotel is tired, needs re-fit, new carpets etc, but then it probably would have been out of our price range. Excellent service with bus going to and from Rome, 1.50 euro each way per person, can add up. Pool opens at 9.30 am and close 19.30 pm so if, like us you are thinking of a nice cool down once returning from a days sight seeing you are going to be disappointed. Nothing nearby, at all and restaurant on the pricey side, 20 euro cheapest main meal.
The rooms (we had 2) were very clean, with comfortable linens. The hotel is off of the main road, down a long drive. The majority of the hotel staff was not very helpful answering questions about visiting the Vatican. Wifi was spotty but fixed before we left. Upon request, a wifi access code was given...without the stipulation that it was only for one device. They did give more codes when asked.
A great place to stay if you're a budget traveler who likes a step up. We stayed here for 3 nights and were satisfied. Hotel rooms show some wear, but rooms are overall very comfortable. The hotel roof-top deck is amazing! It has 3 hot tubs with a view overlooking the lush green city and the Vatican dome. The hot tubs were unheated, which was disappointing, but the view was amazing! The pool area and bar area are also very nice. The hotel breakfast was a little disappointing. Definitely not the best i've had in Europe.
The hotel is a cheap 10-15 euro cab ride from St. Peter's square and the Trastevere neighborhood.
The hotel was lovely and welcoming. The room was clean, however we asked for a double bed and got one with two single beds pushed together, which was a little annoying to sleep in. We went in April and the patio is amazing, with a swimming pool that must be lovely in summer (it was drained during our holiday). Most of the staff was lovely. Location is great, Cornelia Metro is close by, great for links to central rome and main tourist attractions. Would definitely recommend for a short city break stay.

July 2015. I arrived very late and was met with very helpful and friendly staff. Room was excellent however during the night I noticed there was a small leak in the bathroom so I was immediately moved, with staff moving my luggage for me. I would recommend requesting a room with a balcony, this looks out over the pool area. The shuttle bus was very reliable and only €3 return trip to Vatican city. The buffet breakfast was good but it may have been nice to have more variety of fresh fruit. No free wifi which I found to be unusual and expensive.
Encompassing in its folds part of the area next to the Vatican, the Aurelio neighborhood is known for being a residential haven away from the hustle and bustle of central Rome while still being connected to the heart of the city. The area's traditional restaurants, local shops, and neighborhood cafés bordering the piazzas make it the perfect place for an evening stroll.
