“Cute and comfortable stay out of the city”

Lovely lodge with generous rooms and bathrooms with 12ft ceilings in the house (villa) with no 2 rooms sharing walls. Warm and welcoming lounge with fireplace and comfy sofas and a nice big screen to watch the rugby on. Very informative hosts happy to share local knowledge of wine trails, local restaurants & scenic drives. And very secure next to the local police station. We will stay there again and thoroughly recommend to others.

“A great town and a great place to stay.”

We stayed for three days while exploring the Northland and used Warkworth and the lodge as a base. The Town is great and has all the modern shops a traveller could wish for including Dick Smiths for us technie ppl who forget cables! We were there during the Rugby World Cup and the town put on a great show. There are plenty of restaurants and some nice bars to spend an evening and then the Lodge itself is only a short walk out of town over the river. We stayed in the Family loft room and it was very spacious, clean and the beds extremely comfortable. You can tell the owners are putting their heart into it and love what they do. They were very accommodating to us doing a load of washing as the machine in the room was temporarily out of action. I cant wait to get back when hopefully that TV point above the Master bedroom door has a TV to go with it, then the kids can have their TV in the lounge and the Mums and Dads can retire to watch their shows. I'll definitely be back next time we land on the North island, hopefully Ireland can beat the All Blacks this time :)

“Perfect location.”

A delightful 'period' lodge full of character. Great location very close to town,but very quiet. Very helpful staff who went the extra mile to help us with a transport issue.
