“Excellent - No hesitation”

Everything has been perfect from the welcoming to the checkout. Friendly and helpfull people, rooms comfortable, top service. The only "bad" point is the location if you like being around the harbor, you've got to walk 15 mn down hobson street to get there. Not a big deal though.

Despite arriving 7 hours early, we were greeted with a smile and told without any fuss that our room was already available if we wanted to check in - an excellent start. We had paid the tiny bit extra to upgrade to the Plaza Club which meant that we had fantastic views of the city from the Club Room (our room was on one side so the view was more of the local police station than anything else, but it didn't bother us at all), and unlimited drinks and 'nibbles' such as sushi and japanese dumplings in the evening. We ended up using these as our evening meal as we were so tired from the long haul flight and they were freely available. Well worth the money. The breakfast had less options and was running low on some things, however I'm sure we could have gone to the main breakfast room as well, we just didn't explore this. What there was there was very nice - danish pastries, cereal, yoghut. The rooms themselves were huge, gorgeous bathroom and shower, and with excellent facilities. We really felt home from home here. Everything was clean and good repair. We couldn't really have asked for more. Location is good too - it is at the top of a steepish hill but we managed it on foot with two big suitacases so it can't have been too bad! It's also just stone's throw from the main highstreet and we could walk to every where we wanted to easily - including the port with our suitcases as we were joining a cruise from there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone.

“Very Comfortable Rest After Long Flight”

My friend and I stayed 2 nights at the Rendezvous after arriving in Auckland before setting out to travel the country. Our flight arrived in Auckland at 6:15am. We asked to check-in early. We could have immediately gotten a room on a smoking floor, but we chose to wait a few hours for a room on a non-smoking floor. They kept our luggage for us while we went out for bit, and then we were able to check-in around 11am with no problems. Really comfy beds, great bathroom, and enjoyed using the pool and sauna. Prices for room service and mini bar were very reasonable. Also, we were able to get 15 minutes of free internet access in the business center which was just right for checking email.

This was a very nice Hotel and i was very happy with the Location. The room was alot bigger than i expected and the bathroom was gorgeous. Room Service where efficient and friendly.

The hotel is based only 10minutes walk from the town centre and ferry port. Sky City is only 5 minutes walk. The hotel offers a car park and even though we'd checked out, the hotel staff were very helpful when our hire car wouldnt start, getting us through to the right people and calling the AA. The cost of the internet in the bedroom was a bit too steep but theres a very cheap internet cafe in the shopping area anyway.

Especially if you have limited time, this hotel is located near all the major streets, attractions (Sky Tower, Queen Street) and bus lines. The concierge staff was very helpful in recommending how to pack the most into two days, with maps and discount cards and good timelines. Room was modern, quiet and comfortable.

I stayed for four nights recently. Initially I was going to do the basic 'room only' but decided to upgrade to Plaza Club - would definitely recommend upgrading. For the extra you get continental breakfast and 'cocktails and canapes' in the exclusive Plaza Club room. In my case it also included free parking. The staff were attentive and always on hand, and as was proved to me on the last night, extremely honest. I mislaid my late mother's engagement ring, but didn't notice at the time. When I realised later on and went to ask in reception, the ring had been put into an envelope with my room number on it. It had been found by the member of staff on duty in the Plaza Club who had obviously remembered where I had been sitting and what my room number was. I'd thoroughly recommend the hotel if you want somewhere in the heart of Auckland that although may be quite large, hasn't lost the personal touch.
