“Great for short or long stay”
Able to walk to Harbor and Sky Tower.
“A little more than we expected -- that has to be good.”
Good inner Auckland hotel. The staff looked after us well. The breakfast wasn't inner city standard. We'd paid less for a better meal nearby. Nice location for some amazing restaurants on the water, and Sky Tower a block away.
“Would not stay again”
I was not helped with my luggage when I arrived. I loaded the luggage cart on my own and took it to my room, on my own. The reservation was booked and paid through Expedia, however the girl at the front desk told me they did not have my reservation. I was asked if i was at the right hotel. FINALLY she found it. Then, I asked the front desk if there were any liquor or drugstores open (its was 7:30P.M. and I was unaware that nearly EVERYTHING in Auckland closes at 5) and the front desk guy had no clue and sent me down the street and around the corner. I found a store and managed to get lost on my way back. I called the hotel and gave the front desk my location, and the man told me he did not know how to tell me to get back, told me to look at the address of the street I was on and go to 1 Hobson street (the hotel address). Needless to say I would not stay there again or suggest this hotel at all.
“Do not book this hotel!”
This hotel sounds "grand" but it is far from it. From booking in when we were told that the carpark was full and then finding no bedding for our daughters this hotel is one of the worst we have stayed in. It is in a good location but there are many hotels within a 5 minute walk. We booked out of this one straight away in the morning after our cold "hot" breakfast and stayed at the Sky casino which was cheaper and far more comfortable with many more facilities.
“Good value and location”
Generally satisfied and excellent value for the price. Room had all the features I expected but the size was a little small and the layout was a little quirky. The main improvement needed is in the standard of cleaning of the room and of the hotel in general (based on my observations coming through reception and then going to my room via the lift and corridors). Service was quick and friendly.

From our arrival to our departure, we had a perfect time. All services worked perfectly, staff were excellent, The location is excellent for a visitor to Auckland, close to all sights, waterfront and other entertainment and transport services. This was our first trip to Auckland and I would suggest this hotel to anyone and I will defintiely go back there when I go back to Auckland, hopefully soon.

“Fantastic location”
Recently had a long weekend in AKL and booked this Hotel. Stayed 4 years ago and was not that impressses because i had studio on the lower floors which was too noisy and the staff were not that great (very surly). This time I booked a Suite with harbour views. Loved the views! Fantastic! Comfy bedroom and great kitchens. Very central location. Only minus was a thought $20 for a Continental Breakfast was rather $$$$. Staff great improved. I would most certainly stay there again.
