“Great place to stay!”
Great value for money. Friendly staff and rooms of good quality. Would highly recommend.
“Great value for money”
Avoid the lower rooms as they can be noisy. Eventually moved to a level 18, which was fantastic. Overall, a great place to stay.
“Reasonable room amenities, but very noisy, low level of service”
Stayed for 5 nights, room amenities are overall ok and convenient location in the city, but not good sound proof and it was very noisy, the noise from the street woke me up few times each night. The building was extremely dull, you feel you are going into a match box. No deco at receiption or coridoor at all, just concrete block. Sevice level wasn't very good either, as we had to ask few times to make up the room, and even asked, it was not done and had to ask again. Also, had 4 hours late check out, and Hotel wanted to charge NZD35.00 per each hour which was more than for staying one more night in total, which was dropped to NZD20.00 per hour after complaining. Well, I look for something eles next time, especially when you know there are plenty of others!!
“Great central location”
Good location, small but well appointed suite - very convenient all round.
“Not Overly impressed”
Didn't get the room that was booked. Paid extra for a room with Harbour Views but the room they gave me had no views. Rang reception to speak to the manager re this issue and was told they would get back to me within 1/2 an hour and never heard from them. It's very frustrating when you choose to pay the extra and you don't get what you pay for. Poorly managed for a 4 1/2 star hotel. I would never stay there again. The defence travels to NZ on a regular basis and I will definitely be telling people not to stay at the Chifley.
“Great Location”
Both myself and my friends were very happy with the Executive 2 bedroom suite we had it had a good view of the Harbour. The only real problem we had with the room because there were 5 of us one person was meant to sleep on the sofa bed, however the sofa bed was too uncomfortable and we had to put the mattress on the floor. The hotel was quiet however the street noise was a problem in the later evening but not after midnight.
“Would definitely stay there again.”
An extremely convenient and comfortable place to stay when in Auckland. Highly recommend and definitely would stay there again.
“Great Choice For Auckland”
Based on price my assumption was that this would meet budget accommodation requirements only. However, it easily exceeded all expectations; It is very centrally located, the room was modern, spacious and well equipped (I booked a 2 bedroom suite), the staff were friendly and easy-going. No comments on the restaurant, as I didn't dine at the hotel, but I would throroughly recommend all other aspects for quality accommodation in Auckland.
“Aucklands best hotel”
TThis hotel exceeds expectation I have been in so call 4 star hotels before this one is truly what it says it is, and here is why in this order, customer service excellent, price could be higher and I would pay, location truly cbd. Thanks
“Great find”
Clean, functional, well positioned hotel that hides away in the heart of the CBD. Will stay there next time that we go to Auckland.
