“Very good for a two star hotel”
This hotel is in a good location not far from Auckland International Airport and near Route 1 for easy access to the rest of the North Island. The hotel service is very good and the place is clean.

The Hotel was very clean, and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful, if I'm ever in Auckland again, this Hotel would be my first choice.

This was the first time for us booking into a hotel so weren't sure what to expect, This hotel was good value for money, continetal breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful, close to the airport and westfields manukau city, the only thing i was disappointed in was there should of been a microwave in the room . Overall a good hotel and would stay there again

I have stayed here a year or so ago, it has been repainted and tidied up and was some forty dollars cheaper for the one night I stayed. I would go back again if I need to stay at Manukau, as long as it was not any dearer.
“Satisfied Customer”
Prior to booking this motel I read the reviews by people who had stayed there previously and was satisfied that my needs would be met. They were. The critics were in the minority and gave the distinct impression that little would please them. I found Silver Oaks to be clean and comfortable. I was satisfied with the food and with the courtesy and good humour of staff. I would have no hesitation in staying again or in recommending the motel to others.
“Cheap and tidy”
For the recent U2 concert I chose the place because it was half way between the airport and Mt Smart Stadium. They were full for the night. Rooms could definitely do with a spruce up. Obviously the place was tired. The receptionist tried to tell me all the expedia bookings had been cancelled because they had over-booked. A problem in comms between the hotel and expedia led to this and although I got in, many others didn't. The manager was very good (1) about warning me on required shuttle times and (2) taking me herself. The room itself was very hot in the afternoon, even with the windows open. The heating/coolig system switch was broken. If you just need a bed for the night, dont want to pay much, the standard rooms in this place are fine,

We found the staff to be very polite & very helpful in more ways than one. Our breakfast was very satisfactory & we found the room to be very comfortable & to our satifaction. It was a pleasurable stay for the both of us.
