“Great place to stay”
The Hotel was very close to the airport and the courtesy bus was prompt when we arrived at the airport to be collected. Everything was clean and tidy in our room and the internet was not printing so the receptionist allowed me to use the office computer to download my ticket which was great. Even though the hotel is not new everything seems to be maintained to a high standard. I would definately stay again as I was very happy to get value for my money, and breakfast was included which was a bonus.
“Good deal for the price”
We only spent a night here to catch an early morning flight to Queenstown. The front desk was very helpful. Airport is 5 minutes via courtesy shuttle provided by the hotel.
“A good stay”
Airport shuttle service is great, airline put one of our bags on another flight and when it came in the hotel took us to pick it up without charge, excellent service, thanks. Good atmoshphere in the bar-restaurant although food is pretty average and once we had it served cold.
“plusses and minuses”
It's hard to argue with the hotel's free airport shuttle, even after midnight. The staff is very polite and helpful. On the downside, the shuttle drivers often arrive much later than promised when picking up customers. The fridge in my room was broken, but the staff stored food in the kitchen for me. The restaurant served reasonably priced average food.
“Close to the airport”
We chose the hotel because it was fairly close to the airport. It was reasonably comfortable, if a little outdated. I'd use it again.
“More than I expected.”
Much better than I expected for the price. Receptionist was a bit miserable, but the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Pretty sure the bathroom was brand new. TV was ancient but perfectly fine; and of I was going to really pick holes I'd say that noise travels around the hotel quite freely... thin walls and large windows. All in all, I'd have no hesitation recommending this as great value accommodation, with a free transfer to the airport (on selected tariffs). Four star rating, based on value for money in an area notoriously high priced.
“conveniently close to airport”
This is a budget hotel and as such it was quite acceptable. Excellent location, extremely helpful staff and adequate room (could have been a bit cleaner and the water was tempremental).
“Good for one night”
This hotel is good for one night and served its purpose as a stop-over before we began our trip around New Zealand. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Airport pickup was fast and efficient. However, the closest shops and restaurants were a bit of a walk, so location was not ideal. That is why this is a good hotel for one night. The restaurant at the hotel was decent but it was evident the staff wanted to close at a particular time, which was uncomfortable and our meal felt rushed. Food was also over-priced for quality/quantity. Finally, the free continental breakfast was the bare minimum which was toast and tea/coffee, nothing else. The coffee was not good. Would recommend this hotel to people wanting a place to sleep with friendly staff and a clean room.
“An Overnighter”
Single story airport area hotel most suited to overnight connection stays. Hotel shuttle phones hidden from view on left hand side of international arrivals as you exit customs (beware that info desk shuts 9pm ish). 5 to 7 min trip to property. Can arrange wakeup calls & half hourly airport return shuttles at check in or any time after. Facilities include small central pool with bar, vending, looked like there was an indoor restaurant and room service. Rooms are functional featuring bath / shower with soap & shampoo, tea / coffee machine, just a single portable radiator for heating, remote TV and decent lighting, though no alarm clock. Check windows on arrival as will likely be open onto pool area (behind closed curtains). Trips to / from airport will be longer if shuttle is stopping at other terminal first.
“good for short term stays”
the hotel was as expected for a three star hotel.the rooms were clean but showing a bit of wear and tear.the walls between the rooms were not very sound proof and you could hear the people next door talking.the 24 hour service desk and airport shuttle were very prompt and reliable and were the main reason we booked this hotel as our flight did not arrive in until 1 am.the buffet breakfast was good value and would recommend adding to your room booking when you make your reservation.
