“You know this is Athens”
Excellent location. The buffet Breakfast on the terrace with the acropolis in the background is just an superb way to start the day.
“Close to all the sites”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at he Adrian Hotel. Staff we very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and the location ideal. Rooms are small including a small shower, but very adequate as you don't spend much time in your room. There are so many great things to see within walking distance.
“Good location”
Our room was small, but adequate for an overnight stay. We had a view of the Acropolis from our window and breakfast on the rooftop. It was just a block or so from ancient ruins and the Plaka. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful.
“Great location and view”
A small and friendly hotel in the perfect location for seeing Athens. In easy walking distance of almost everything we wanted to do. The open air breakfast room on the roof was the perfect place to enjoy the view and plan your activities for the day. Though the room was small, it was comfortable, quiet, and clean.
“In the center of it all!”
Loved the location of our hotel! Walking distance to the Acropolis, other ancient sites, restaurants and shops. We liked we could stop back in the middle of the day to change or drop off purchases. We were on the go most of the time, and never made it to the breakfast buffet. Internet service was at a reasonable speed and cost (1 terminal - but usually availble) If you want a quiet place to stay this would not be for you as the Plaka is usually loud until 3 or 4am (Though the windows were reasonably insulated against noise). Rooms are traditional European, sparse & small bathrooms, but was very clean. Would definately stay there again!
“Good small hotel”
I loved my hotel! The only problem was when the cleaning lady insisted on coming into my room while I was sleeping to put a table in the outside balcony. Totally unnecessary.
“Good location and service”
Excellent location for a short stay in Athens - close to major attractions and metro services to Piraeus for ferry connections. Friendly and helpful reception with very good English spoken.
“Excellent Choice”
We stayed at this hotel in June-08. What a wonderful treat it was. The location is excellent, litteraly in the middle of Platka, and maybe two blocks from the base of the Acropolis. The hotel was very clean and friendly. The guy told us were to get the best euro exchange rate, how to get to the train station, etc. We would definitely stay here again.
“Central, clean and comfortable”
The hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly & polite. The room itself was spacious and clean and very comfortable. And the view from the rooftop terrace was fantastic. Book with confidence, a good place to stay for the price.
“very impressed, best hotel”
Best location, best service, clean

Plaka, Athens, Greece: Quaint and touristy, Athens oldest residential quarter sits in the shadow of the Acropolis. Plakas narrow cobbled streets are lined with bougainvillea-clad neoclassical mansions, souvenir shops and pseudo-traditional tavernas, some with live music. A village atmosphere prevails, despite the crowds. Close to all the top sights, it makes the best base for a short stay.
