“Excellent Hotel”
We have stayed at this hotel before and the inside is of a high standard, the breakfast is really good value. There are 2 metro stations close by, the nearest is Sygrou-Fix 2 mins away. The only critisism is the surrounding location, there is rubish in the street, and the outside drains smell, which I know is not the hotels fault, if the goverment or council if they have one, was to get the streets cleaned in the area and the pavements repaired, as it is awkward for suitcases, then I couldn't fault it.
“Highly recommended”
This is an excellent budget priced hotel. Good location close to the metro, excellent service, a good bar and restaurant and breakfast above average for this class of hotel. Particular praise has to go to the reception staff.
“a must stay”
close to every thing the train is just down the road walking distance to every thing
“Nice area in Athens”
Didn't have ready any of the three rooms we reserved(3 couples)when we arrived off our ship and into town about 10AM. They did put our bags in a safe place until after their standard check-out time of Noon. Bar tender was helpful with wine selection. All staff were courteous and friendly. Clean WC.
“" Nice stay in Athens"”
I had to book this hotel last mintue after having to cancel another reservation I had book through another online company when discovering they had us in single room rather than a double. I have to say the online reviews I read were very helpful. The hotel was rather nice and convienent to the metro. It was truely in the center of the Acroplis area and we were able to walk there with no problem. The area is safe and close to dinning. The staff were very polite and pleasant. They held our bags until check in time as we ventured out given we had a early flight arrival we arrived there at 10am when check-in is a 2pm. We were also provided a recommendation for dinner by the desk agent and it was superb. We were given an option of a wake up call the next day as we had to be at the ferry early, and they called precisley at the set time. They set up a taxi for us that arrived on time, and they offered us a bag breakfast given we would miss the buffet due to having to leave for the ferry so early. The hotel it self was nice and we had a nice room and no nosie to be heard as we slept soundly through the night. Only complaint that I had was when we checked in to our room there were no towels, and we had to wait a couple hours before they brought them two us. I would not let this one flaw keep me from going again as I believe they were waiting for the laundry service to deliver the towels and it happen to be running late that day, so no true fault to the hotel! Would stay again!
“wonderful location & staff”
Although the rooms are tiny, the staff is wonderful! They let us check in early & although the kitchen wasn't open, the bartender made us a plate with cheese, olives & bread. The location is very good--just a couple of blocks from the Plaka & the new Acropolis hotel. They also arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport. Great value compared to other hotels in the area. If you don't require luxury, this is the place to stay. We would definitely stay there again.
“Acrpolis Select, Athens”
Overall a very good stay, good location if you know where it is, very clean, unfortunately the wi-fi only really works well in the lobby - would recommend
“Better options around”
Really old design, ugly red carpets and tiny elevators and walkways. Even if you look for a place to crash close to the Acropolis, much better options available. Acropolis view is LIE, no views at all
“bathtub problem”
The hotel would have been acceptable at its price except for the first night we were there, I took a bath and removed the plug from the tub. We were not alerted that this should not be done either at check-in or by a sign in the bathroom. I was placidly washing my hair and my husband walked in and observed, "There is water all over the floor." Sure enough, the entire bathroom floor had standing water to about an inch. When I reported this to me serious problem, the gentleman at the desk said, "Oh yes, you can't just pull out the plug. The plumbing is very old." The tub functioned fine with me just letting out a half-cup at a time thereafter, but the initial flood also got into the hall carpet and the smell never left during the next three days. The hall smelled very smoky as well, and a number of guests just left their room doors open, giving it an odd, hostel-like vibe. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it.
