“A tired spa”
I booked two rooms at Champneys Springs as it seemed a nice alternative to an ordinary hotel near or in Burton on Trent and, as we were having to stay somewhere on a Sunday night, I thought booking into a Spa hotel would be a bit of treat. I thought overall the facilities and the rooms were a bit 'tired' looking and could do with an overhaul. To be honest I felt like I was staying in a Premier Inn or Express by Holiday Inn rather than a Champneys Spa Hotel. The pool was quite nice but there was only one very small steam room and one sauna so the Spa facilities were not very impressive. Staff were helpful and the food was good but nothing special.
