Good location for the old town and Lake Annecy. Staff on reception very helpful with giving ideas on where/how to travel to other local areas.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in a perfect location to discover Annecy. Good parking solutions with discounted underground parking 2 minutes away. Ask for some restaurant recommendations, they are spot on.

Hotel is in a wonderful location near old town and steps from the train. The staff is so nice an so helpful. they went above and beyond to help me.

Great location and values for money
Hotel is very good for the price, clean, friendly staff. Good breakfast available for en extra charge but was worth it. Good location in the centre and close walk to old town and lake. Lots of good take out and restaurants close by too. Close to rail and bus transport if needed as well. I would stay again. One small note it has a very small elevator that does not go to twork he top floor, but no issue for me.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Very central, close to the railway station, nearby cafes and lots of restaurants within walking distance. We were shown where to park and the hotel subsidize the night hours parking. Friendly staff. Hotel a bit out-dated but clean and comfortable bed.

This is a cute hotel with nice proprietors. Our room was large (#140) and had everything we needed. We opted to not have breakfast as we were headed for a long drive. Only stayed one night.

Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good. The location was very good for us being near the bus and train stations. It was also within easy walking distance of the lake and the old town.

Homely and quiet
I liked this hotel the best of all I have stayed in. It isn't opulent but it's clean and very quiet (I visited in July). Staff were great...it had a real family hotel feel to it even though it isn't a family hotel. Very central, ten minutes to Lake Annecy walking. Air-conditioner in the room controlled by guest. You have to climb the stairs to reception but there is a lift to the levels above. Room was small as was toilet and shower room but not too small in my opinion. The best feature is the fact that it still has the old wooden shutters and a sliding window of perspex to keep the noise out followed by a normal window which meant the room was quiet. The corridor was also quiet even though the hotel was full. I think it had floor covering to dampen the noise. I really loved this hotel.

Fairly simple hotel, clean and comfortable although a bit dated and worn in places. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location for walking around Annecy. Not fancy but a good value.

Perfect stay in Annecy
Perfect location in Annecy, just steps from the train station and a few minutes from the water. The room was perfect for us and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Great staff!
I stayed two days with my parents on April. When we arrived, we were shocked because there was only very steep stair to go to the reception (reception was 2nd floor, and has no elevator...) but, all staff help us by handling our heavy bidbig carrier. Also the room was not that new, but very clean and enough spacious for us. In addition, all staff were very kind and let us know good restaurant in Annecy. Breakfast which has to pay 9 euro per person, was also good enough for us! Thanks for everything!

Small hotel 1 minute walk from the train and bus station, a few minutes walk from the historic town. Very clean rooms, nice bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a big room with 2 queen size beds, with a side room with 2 twin beds. Very comfortable. But the floor was a bit tilted.

The location of Hotel de Alpes cannot be beat for those arriving by train. The station is integrated beautifully into a plaza so one steps from the station into the beautiful town. The hotel is just two short blocks from the hotel which is also just a few blocks from the most beautiful and historic area of town, as well as the lake. The staff is multi-lingual and very nice and accommodating. The rooms are very clean. The hotel has charm and is old-fashioned feeling in a nice way. I don’t believe there is an elevator. Hotel reception is on second floor and rooms may be up a flight or two more.

Lovely small hotel near everything
This is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. We visited in December and it was a close walk to both (yes there are two) of Annecy's Christmas markets. The people who own it put a lot of thought into their design choices, and the place even smells great.

Hotel is really nice, close to train station. The receptionists are all very helpful especially when you need hot water regularly. The down side is that there is no lift, hence getting luggage to higher floors prove a challenge.

The perfect base!
This was another trip where what I needed was a base from which to meet friends and explore a fascinating new city. I wasn't looking for a room that would itself be a major part of the experience. Hotel des Alpes was exactly what I needed. It was comfortable, clean and very conveniently situated. (The bathroom was a little tight.) Three minutes in one direction - the train station; three minutes in another - great cafes. Staff were patient, helpful and knowledgeable. Given the price I paid, I felt des Alpes was a great bargain!
