Across the street from the Maryland State Capitol, Historic Inns of Annapolis is a half-mile (.8 kilometers) from the U.S. Naval Academy.
The inn's guestrooms are spread among three stately buildings. The biggest is Calvert House, a 51-room Colonial that faces the State House. This inn features the Hypocaust, a unique greenhouse system, visible through a glass floor in the lobby, which overlooks a small patio provided for alfresco coffee.
Robert Johnson House is a Federal-style building with 29 rooms, and the 44-room Maryland Inn affords good views of the town from its wide porches. All buildings were renovated in March 2006.
The inn offers complimentary shuttle service around Annapolis on request. 6 meeting/conference rooms, including a ballroom, are available for events, and a 24-hour business center is on site. Wireless Internet access is complimentary hotel-wide.
