“higher than my expectations of a 4-star property”
friendly staff (while they most can not communicate to you in English), good location, good rooms and satisfactory service... what else you want from your stay?!
“Staying there if just for leasure, but not for conference”
I really enjoyed my staying at the hotel: the staff members are very friendly; theroom is clean, there are both cold and hot meals in breakfast. However the internet connection in the room is not good at all. Another thing which bothers me is that they seem to have no morning call service. I stayed there for four nights and askemd the front desk for the "morning call" three times, but only get one call. The morning when I needed the call so much because I had to get to the airport around 6:00 am (my flight is 8:00), so I talked to the staff at the front desk twice to make sure to get the call, but I didn't get it. Fortunately I didn't think that they would (due to my previous experiences), I stayed up the whole night. They need to make sure to provide this service.
“Ankara Plaza Hotel”
The Ankara Plaza was in a convenient neighborhood with lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The staff was extremely helpful, especially the concierge who spoke great English and who frequently assisted us in arranging transportation plans. The breakfasts were beautiful displays and a rooftop view of the city that couldn't be beat. The room was very pleasant except for the hard beds that Turkish people seem to prefer in their hotels. There was some mold in that bathroom too, that is never very pleasant. On the whole we would recommend this hotel.
