“A Great Stay”

We stayed two nights at the Royal Suite Lodge. Our room was clean, had everything we needed (including a great riverside deck that was great for our nightly cribbage wars), quiet and comfortable. It was just a short drive to Denali and away from the regular hustle and bustle. On the last morning the management even agreed to provide me with their recipe for their awesome rhubarb, strawberry coffee cake. We couldn't have been happier!!! I will definitely visit them again.

“Not Impressed”

Very friendly staff. Hotel was a little run down. Hotel resembled an apartment type floor plan. Make sure you double lock your room. It appeared to be on the rough side of town.

“Not what you might think”

I chose this hotel because it was almost $40 cheaper than most of the others. I got what I paid for. Their were no ammenities and the place looked to be 30 plus years old. It didn't spell clean. (although the sheets were clean.) The hotel was too far from any other establishments unless you have a vehicle. It is shabby and filled will long term guests. The people who run the place were nice, but not very helpful. There was no ice and the internet connection didn't work. All in all I would say, "spend the extra money on another hotel".

“Cheap But take your chance!!”

Not what we were hoping for. It was cheap but was not worth it!! We got upgrade at check in to Suite. It was apartment that was not rented at the time. Third floor only stairs. Kids playing in parking lot. Hot no A/C!! Kitchen was there but no kitchen things not even a coffee pot!!! The noise from neighbors was loud. Full size bed at least sheets were clean. In morning had 2 police cars in parking lot. Think about another place. It maybe cheap but are you sure!!!

“Very disappointed..could not stay any more”

Very bad smell in the rooms.. could not even sleep whole night..wanted to check out early at 8 am next day morning but there is a change of shift of the staff from 8 to 8:30 am. The next staff came at 8:40 instead of 8:30, so we had to wait 40 minutes outside of the office. No information was given when we checked in that there would not be anyone in the office in the morning. And yet, the sigh on the outside of the office said "Open" even though no one was there. We could not stay there any more, so we canceled our reservation. Expedia was very nice to help in cancellation process. Also, the room we booked was with Kitchenette but there were no pots, pans, plates etc in the room. The room had a stove, microwave and refrigerator. The kitchen was not very clean. No coffee/Tea bags, creamer, sugar etc was provided in the room. We would not recommend this hotel to any one.

“Would never go back”

The outside appearance was terrible. When we saw the hotel we couldn't believe we were staying there. We almost went to another hotel. The room we were supposed to have smelled terrible. They did give us another room which was somewhat better. The couch was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.Irene

“the worst accomodation ever”

building was orrible, people are living there on permanet basis with all stuff on the hallways and in the yard. Police around in the evening to check on people. Room in terrible condition: bad smell (oil, smoke, fried things,...), really dirty (floor was sticky), weary furniture (sofa was the worst piece), noisy (thin paper wall!). Couldn't be worse than that (I had nightmare during the night!)

“do not go”

The inside of the hotel had the conveniences that I needed, but all very, very old. Toilet continued running until we kept moving handle. Noisy area. Awoken up at 1:30 am by roudy person yelling that we did not have reservations for this room. Bed soft, old and linen did not stay on the bed. Holes in the bed. Very nervous about staying there. Gentleman at front desk very helpful and informative.
