“I'd stay here again.”

I lived in Anchorage for 33 years, having moved to WA state in 2009. Although I knew of all the hotels around; I had a 6 am flight out to return to WA and I wanted to be as close to the airport as I could. and this fit my needs. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and convenient. The hotel employees I had contact with while staying at the hotel were courteous and helpful.

“Coast International Inn”

It was a nice hotel, but we used it just for our last night since it was close to the airport. It does not have an elevator and we had a lot of bags!! The girl at the desk was nice to us and offered a room in the first floor... pretty helpful!!

“Close to the airport but needs TLC”

I only stayed at this hotel one night. With a late flight from Denver I was looking for a quick cab ride and had selected the Coast International for it's location and price. The staff was very friendly on check in and we had our room key very quickly. The walk down the hall revealed stained carpeting and squeaking floors. The hall smelled of tobacco smoke. The room was not much better. Though the sheets were laundered, the mattress and sheets were stained, and there was no mattress pad under the sheet. The pillows were flat and the pillow cases worn thin. Again there was also a musty, smoky smell to the room even though it was a non smoking room. The staff was nice but the hotel needs some TLC. The next morning before check out I had breakfast at Pipers, the restaurant in the hotel. Very good breakfast and great service.

“REASONABLY CLEAN AND PLEASANT - GOOD DEAL FOR THE $'S”

I found my room to be clean, though the lighting was pretty dark. But, considering Anchorage, AK prices and closeness to the airport, I was quite satisfied. In fact, i am staying there again in a few weeks. BTW, they do have a decent restaurant on site. So, unless you want to check out downtown Anchorage, this is a good place to stay. I rate it a 3 star-plus.

“Anchorage Hotel”

Good hotel, close to the airport with a nice restaurant/bar. The manager has been there forever.

“Not a good value paid high rate even by Alaskan standards for modest accommodation.”

Ceiling in laundry room leaks when a guest in room above does not tuck in shower curtain. Internet access is great w. free WiFi. No free cookie as described in write up was offered. Great local bus to get around town but available only during mid afternoon and evening without availability before 13:50 or 1:50 PM. Good transit van to and from rail station is complimentary and easy to book. No Complimentary breakfast. Fitness center available outside hotel for high daily rate only.

Area recommendations

Walk 2 km foot path to there park along Chena River. Good exercise and pleasant environment. Use complimentary bus to reach supermarket and prepare your own meals in complimentary microwave and otherwise. No in room fridge.

“Surprised”

This hotel fit our needs--close and convenient to the airport with 24/7 shuttle. Freezer for fish was a plus.

“Convenient and affordable”

The proximity to ANC Airport was the main reason we spent two nights there. The 24-hr shuttle service was a plus, as well as the inside restaurant.
