Staff were friendly. Efficient check in. There were some issues at the breakfast buffet spoke to manager she solved it. When we were checking out one of the tables in the lobby had a sharp nail head it caught my lululemon pants put a snag in them. I told the person at front desk she came and turned the table around. Said sorry.

The hotel is overall good choice. The rooms are clean and general atmosphere is positive. However the breakfast is certainly below average and expectations from such reputable hotel. Sadly this was not comparable to the other wholly positive experiences we've had at other Novotel hotels. - The room was not prepared with a bed for our child, despite the clear inclusion of a child on the reservation, a reminder phone call days before arrival & further requests on arrival. - Food was served cold in the restaurant. - Despite buying several drinks & meals, we were refused tap water for an infant at the restaurant, which is just offensive. It's a shame that this stay, right at the end of an otherwise great break, has somewhat tarnished our otherwise positive view of the chain.

AC could only be set to 19 or above centigrades - my room was miserably hot (at least for me) waiter explained we would have to wait 45 minutes for dinner - then proceeded to take the orders of parties seated after us.. we managed to flag him down to take our order after about 30 minutes of arrival in the restaurant. Overall - we had a place and it is convenient for the airport - but would not choose to stay her deliberately

Had a lovely few days staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well maintained, bed was comfortable and the breakfasts and dinners we had were excellent! The hotel is very convenient for the trains and buses - just a short safe walk to both.

The hotel proved perfect for our needs which was to sightsee in Amsterdam. It's a 5 min walk from Hoofddorp train station and then about 20mins to Amsterdam Central. Reception were very welcoming and we were up in our room quickly after arriving. You need to tap your room card on a sensor in the lift before you can select your floor number. The room was a good size, modern and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise from outside the hotel or from adjacent rooms. Also very handy is that you can buy some food and snacks in the lobby with a self service till. I have a few feedback points for the room though which are that there was very little in the way of tea and coffee options with 2 pods of Lavazza coffee and about 4 teabags of different flavours. The cups were tiny and designed mostly for a very small cup of coffee so I had to keep topping up my same teabag a number of times to get a decent amount to drink. It's not a major issue as there is plenty of choice at breakfast but it would have been nice to have mugs in the room and more quantities of beverages after a full day of tourism. The other two points are concerning the bathroom. It's a lovely modern design however the shower makes everything on the sink and floor very wet so make sure you only have items in the bathroom that you don't mind getting wet. The bathroom doors are also very hard to close quietly if you are trying not to disturb your partner. Overall though I was extremely happy with the hotel.

We stayed for two nights on a weekend for sightseeing in Amsterdam. This hotel was a good place to sleep with a comfortable bed and no noise from other guests or traffic. The staff were very helpful, particularly our waiter in the restaurant. It is close to the airport and the train/buses into Amsterdam. The big downside of the location is that it a 30 min train ride from central Amsterdam and there are no dining options, other than the hotel restaurant, that we could find within a mile of the hotel on a weekend. There is no hotel shuttle to the airport and we had to spend 30 euros for an early morning taxi (we were advised that Uber would not work for a 5:30 AM ride to the airport). There is a bus/train to the airport, but we had too much luggage to carry. I wish we had stayed at a hotel closer to the city.

Can't get the staff..
Super comfortable bed, good shower (but needs a bit more water pressure), room wasn't cleaned one day, and as always in this hotel, the service in the restaurant is terrible: slow, rude and unhelpful. Had a long chat with the manager about it, and she agrees. They can't get decent staff, and the staff have them over a barrel. reception staff are super though.

This has been our "go to" hotel a few times per year. One thing we used to LOVE about this hotel is their breakfast. Our latest stay was very disappointing for this: No more personal service, less fresh juices and very unfriendly staff in the restaurant.
