We loved the cosy nature of our room, comfy bed, free continental breakfast in the morning, and the fact we could bring our dog with us. Brew Moon Brewing Co is just a few steps down the road, makes to-die-for pizza and boutique beer, and is also dog-friendly, what more could we ask for!

The room was tiny but clean and neat. I did not realize that I had to share a bathroom with other guests. Expedia had “shared bathroom” listed in tiny lettering under other details. The bathroom was clean but this should have been listed in bold lettering. Staff were friendly and cordial. Not bad for a cheaper option if you’re willing to share a bathroom. It was really disappointing but not the facilities fault.

The rooms were on the small side with nowhere to put anything by the bed eg no bedside tables. Also no bedside lights.

As soon as you go through the entrance you feel welcomed by the staff. Great rooms, shared bathroom and the shared kitchen facilities were top notch and pristine. Even being on the main drag it was quiet at night. The food was amazing, generous and very tasty. Not a bad word to say about the hotel, will definitely go back and highly recommended if you want to stop outside of Christchurch

The Amberly hotel was a clean , well appointed hotel. I stayed on a Public holiday. When I arrived to check in, there were no instructions via email and the place was closed, there was a note pinned to the door giving the access code for entry to the building. Then all the room keys were laid out in envelopes on the table which was visible from the glass front door, so anyone could have entered the building and taken a room key. This made me feel unsafe. There were no dining facilities, however there was free tea/coffee, toast and cereal. Hardly anything was open in the town that day so it was hard to find somewhere to eat. I could not access the TV using instructions given in the in room guidebook, I am good with tech. On the bright side, the place was super clean and tidy, decor was quite new and the bed was comfortable.

Check in process was great, i was staying as attending a function here. The staff were so good to deal with, special shout out to McKenzie (hope I spelt correctly) any requests were dealt with quickly. Would stay there again but next time I will upgrade to ensuite room 😊

Wevhad the apartment which had an unusual configuration. We ate at the restraunt but found the food below standard. Overall the hitel was clean and tidy (recent renovation) inside was quiet with the windows closed but riad noise could be heard. Beds very comfortable. The TV's were an absolute mysteryneither of which i could get to work that was disappointing

Staff amazing so helpful. Clean & tidy. Recommend the beef roast of the day. Best roast I’ve ever had just fell apart. Market day on Saturday morning. Wife brought a few plants went crazy Great value will take a bigger car next time😂. Most definitely will be staying there again.

The staff were excellent and the food also excellent. Unfortunately they checked us into a much smaller room than we had booked. After querying the room with the staff we were moved into the correct room- fortunately it was still available. The restaurant closes at 8:00pm which is a shame as there was a quiz night in the bar so no option but to go to our room. Be aware they do not serve breakfast any days which came as a complete surprise to us as it was advertised and even mentioned on the menu. The Operations Manager, who had only recently been hired managed things well and I’m sure he, with the staff, will bring the place to the standard that they and us believed it to be. We will go back again without a doubt as nothing out us off and all matters were felt with well.

Gem of a room in an old hotel. Parking on street.
Old style hotel and room was upstairs but was very pleasantly surprised as was immaculate, with generous offerings of tea, coffee, cereal etc. Recently renovated and nest as a pin! Great little bathroom and a nice welcoming atmosphere though person didn’t find my booking initially.

The staff were helpful and upgraded us when we pointed out the photograph we saw when reserving, was nothing like the room we were actually given. Double check that you are getting the room you think you booked.

Pari vuotta sitten remontoidut, erittäin siistit tilat. Kahden huoneen huoneisto oli juuri sopiva nelihenkisen perheen yhden yön majoitukseen ohikulkumatkalla. Erinomainen hinta-laatu -suhde. Mukava sänky.
