Top Alnmouth Hotel Reviews

Schooner Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"After booking this hotel I found out it was haunted! Maybe I should have done a bit of research before booking but I really feel this should be stated when booking! Looks like they are getting work down stairs in the restaurant but as soon as you walk through the door to go the rooms it stinks! It’s like a musky mouldy smell, the room was even worse! With black mould on the ceiling coming down the wall right next to bed that had stains on the sheets. We ended up leaving."

Hope and Anchor Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely room and really helpful staff."

Purdy Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast was very good. Staff throughout stay were polite helpful and pleasant. Evening meal offered good selection. Looked like the room bathroom had been refurbished. One critisism that both myself and wife are 81 yr old pensioner and the provision of the shower in the bath with no hand rails fitted meant we could not climb into the bath to shower!! Hotels need to provide walk in showers instead of baths ???"

The Joiners Arms
10/10 Excellent
"Quirky accommodation..food and facilities great but the hot tub was too cold to use so we were disappointed we couldn't use it as was the main reason I booked the shepherds hut..otherwise would book again"

The Hog's Head Inn - The Inn Collection Group

The Oaks Hotel
8/10 Good
"Bedroom was very clean and comfortable. Three course lunch was very good value. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was spoiled by loud music. Plenty room for parking."

Classic Lodges - The White Swan
8/10 Good
"I find stairs very difficult and we were on the third floor. NOT much fun. as most of the other visitors were as old is not older than me I guess i was not the only one. They were unable to offer a change of room as they said they were full. However we never saw another soul on the corridor we were in and linen outside the door of two rooms remained there for the whole of our stay, we don't think we had any neighbours! It can't be easy in a listed building that cannot have lifts. the walk in showe was wonderful The staff looked after us very well and despite the large numbers of dinner guests the food was very good. great menu choice and hot. I needed ice for my Champagne picnic and they gave me lots without question. we would, without question, stay again."

The Amble Inn - The Inn Collection Group
6/10 Okay
"The inn is in a good place for a base, breakfast was ok but a healthier option would be a nice change. Rooms are fine but avoid room 1 as it backs onto female toilets of the bar. and you can hear the door banging too and the aircon quite loudly in the room ..also the cleaners at 5:30 ….but overall it’s a convenient place to stay and explore the coast"

The Tempus at Charlton Hall Estate
