Almunecar, Granada Hotels

Fronting the Mediterranean Sea on Spain’s Costa Tropical, the town of Almuñécar was founded almost 3,000 years ago by the Phoenicians. The Romans and Moors also occupied the town over the years, and the ruins of a Roman aqueduct and fish factory still remain. Various beaches and coves are carved into the hilly coast, and diving is popular, as are various other water sports.
