Vila Gale Douro Vineyards Hotel

"This is a very average property, with a very nice view. The staff isn't very friendly from the minute we walked in the door. None of the amenities were open, or they were all booked. So if you want to eat dinner apparently you need to call weeks ahead. The breakfast is very average. It's like a selection of grocery store bought goods and and a couple of hot things. Also no cups, which apparently was a chore to be asked for one. But then the worst part, is that construction on the property apparently starts at 7:00 a.m. sharp. Nothing like waking up to an angle grinder cutting rebar. Would probably look fo stay somewhere more local next time."

"What a gorgeous property. Spa options are amazing. The wine and port tasting was top-notch. With only one night, we really did not get to experience all of it. I would recommend at least two. Coming in September or October during the winemaking season would be fantastic. The staff was extremely polite and knowledgeable and helpful"

"Beautiful property in a great location. People working there are very kind and accommodating. Decent breakfast and they have a small selection of items for dinner. Mostly salads and sandwiches but it’s all very tasty with a beautiful sunset view of the mountains."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta de la Rosa. The views over the Douro Valley are absolutely beautiful and made for a very relaxing experience. We loved the onsite restaurant and spending time at Tim’s Terrace, both of which made the most of the stunning surroundings. The wine tour and tasting were a highlight, with knowledgeable staff and excellent wines. The property was clean, quiet, and peaceful throughout our stay. A wonderful place to unwind and experience the beauty of the Douro Valley."

"Bernardo and his staff made our three nights stay at this family run Hotel magical. The views of the Doro Valley and the river were nothing short of breathtaking. We felt like we were on a movie said it was so spectacular. Bernardo and his staff treated his last family and spoiled us. Everything from the food, the wine, the fruit plates, and picking cherries off the tree were moments of memories we will never forget."

"We had a wonderful time at Casa Dona Edite Guesthouse. Beautiful place great scenery. The staff was very friendly helpful and accommodating. We had dinner both nights we stayed. Food was great. Nice pool and yard. I would definitely stay there again."
