“Review”
This hotel is great! Staff are absolutely terrific - very friendly, dedicated and professional. Facilities are fine, very 1980s, but reallly not a problem. Rooms are spacious. The resident peacock is a real show off, and he only screeched on one day pre-dawn. Food service is a little slow - that would be my only complaint but certainly not a major problem. I think Crowne and Lasseters are the 'top' places in town - I would by far recommend Crowne unless you want to be amongst the casino crowd down the road at Lasseters.
“Excellent Hotel!”
Very good hotel in a location just far enough from the centre of Alice Springs to be quiet but close enough to be within walking distance (about 10 minutes away, even in 39C heat!).

overall we had a wonderful time at the Crown Plaza in alice springs only one regret .... it went to quickly

Delightful .......great staff ...clean quiet ....good view ...great pool ...good gym ....very cute pet peacock...... and the restaurant Hanaman .........best food and service ....went there 3 nights ....
“Oasis in the desert”
Like many people I spoke to I used Alice Springs as a starting point for travelling to other locations in the "Red Centre". My subsequent camping trip was excellent without ever approaching any degree of real comfort. What a pleasant surprise to start and finish my outback stay with a few days at the Crowne Plaza. The hotel was first class in every respect from the quality of rooms, food and amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful and I was staggered at the overall standard of the hotel for the very reasonable rates they charged. If you plan on any length of time in the desert there is no better place to relax and re-charge afterwards.
“Excellent accomodations”
My wife, I and are adult children had an excellent experience at the Crowne Plaza in Alice Springs. Although not directly in town, it is a short 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride to the central shopping area. This is a resot hotel, as one would expect in a desert climate. The pool area is attractive, the fitness center well equipped. The guest laundry was clean, with new machines. The hotel houses two restaurants, one with standard fare and one with Thai cuisine. There were three options for breakfast --danish, rolls, and coffee; expanded, danish, rolls, fruit and cereal and coffee; and full English breakfast. Hotel personnel is friendly and helpful. You really cannot go wrong choosing this hotel.
“A Lovely Place in Alice Springs”
We enjoyed our night at the Crowne Plaza. Comfy, clean, up-scale rooms. Enjoyed the landscaping (including the peacock) - nice pool, eating areas. I'd love to go back.
“Best hotel in Alice Springs!”
Loved this hotel. Rooms were clean, had a beautiful balcony over the pool and courtyard with a resident peacock. Grounds were well maintained, and loved to walk around the hotel grounds in the evening as very warm in Alice Springs. Staff were wonderful and helped with any tour issues that I had without making me feel like I was a burden to them. Staff always asked me if I needed anything which is very nice and welcoming.

Location's great, large comfortable rooms and great Thai restaurant in the hotel.
“Pleasantly surprised”
Starting to look a little tired around the edges, and we could have done with a separate shower in the bathroom rather than one over the back, but otherwise we were nicely surprised. It's in a lovely part of town with a lovely pool area, and fantastic restaurant which you absolutely should not miss, the bar was good with both indoor and outdoor areas, and there are great views over the ranges from various parts of the hotel. It was good to be close to Lasseters, but we were glad we weren't staying there.
