“Relaxing holiday”
A wonderful, relaxing adult hotel. The rooms were modern and comfortable. The food excellent. The surroundings had such attention to detail which made our stay even more special.
“Perfect place to stay in Denia”
All round we were very pleased. A must when visiting Denia. We will be staying again very soon.
“A stylish oasis on the Costa Blanca”
Spacious, newly re-fitted bedrooms, lovely bathrooms with power shower, his & hers sinks, a lovely swimming pool & sunloungers in a spot just to catch the breeze. A view of the sea from the restaurant terrace and friendly staff make this a stylish oasis on the Costa Blanca. We stayed for 4 days in late May and the hotel was far from full, maybe due to its location, a couple of miles from lively Denia with its activities and fish restaurants - you do need a car to get around.
“A Hidden Gem”
We chose this hotel following great reviews on this site.It certainly lived up to our expectations. It is an attractive converted Parador on the outskirts of Denia. It was spotlessly clean and towels and linen were changed every day.The twin beds were very comfortable. We had a large terrace balcony overloking the beautiful gardens. We were on room only basis but paid the 7euros every day for breakfast because it was wonderful.Lots of different cold meats, cheeses, breads, cakes, fruit, juices.not an English fry-up in sight!! It has a large pool and plenty of sun beds and tables and chairs around it.There were only about five other guests staying there,so we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. The hotel is mostly aimed at business users,so people seemed to be just staying for one night at a time. As its on the outskirts of Denia,in the Les Rotes area, apart from a couple of bars/restaurants nearby,a car is needed really(or taxi)to get into the centre of Denia. We thought it was a lovely hotel and will definitely be going back.
“Les Rotes review”
A really first-class hotel in an excellent position. I could not fault it in any way. Also excellent value at this time of year.
“An extremely comfortable hotel, let down by poor service.”
My girlfriend and I stayed four nights in September. This is a lovely hotel. The pool, rooms and general ambience are excellent - clean, light and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and the building is very pretty (especially when lit up at night). The reception staff and maids are friendly and helpful. Bikes (great for cycling into town), Quad bikes (lots of fun, if you're sensible), minibar (soft drinks only), towels and various other things are all thrown in and the standard of services and their availability are what you would expect from a four star hotel. Reviews on other sites apparently complained about noisy dogs in the neighbourhood, but this was not a problem for us. However, we were really let down by poor service from the bar staff. It is not unreasonable in a hotel bar to expect to be served a drink when you want one. Unfortunately, the bar was never attended during our time at the hotel, requiring a humiliating buzz from the receptionist to summon a waiter, who on a couple of occasions appeared to resent the fact that he was called to make drinks. When eventually ordered it was not unusual to wait 20 minutes for your drink to be served - all of this in a hotel which was less than half full. We were always the only people at the bar. The quality of food served in the bar and restaurant (accompanied by an excellent wine selection) is good - but don't order the "award winning" arroz a banda - it was not in my experience worthy of an award.

Denia, Spain: The Castillo de Denia perches high above the original village of brightly-painted former fishermens houses in this relatively quiet, low-key, family resort. The adjacent newer part of town is typically Spanish with many elegant 19th-century buildings. Denias seafront includes a working port, a marina, excellent fish restaurants, ferries to the Balearic Islands, and a broad, long, sandy beach that stretches for many miles.
