“Lovely Hotel, wonderful resort”
Just got back from a week in this excellent hotel. Can't believe its only rated 3*, who cares about deck chairs round the pool when you've got a beach as beautiful as this one right on your doorstep? The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast might not be 5* but what we got was hot, fresh and tasty. Position of the hotel can't be beaten, only a 5min stroll into the lovely old town of Albufeira. We will certainly be back again!
“Would go back!”
The Hotel location is perfect, not far from the beach or town, the view from the pool was amazing, very clean, the rooms were cleaned daily,the food was good, if i had to say a negative, the lady on reception was not very friendly when we checked in. will definitely go back..

THE hotel was excellent. Location and staff were always there to help. Staff was unassuming but always there when ou needed them. Portuguesee are the most friendly.

brilliant hotel good service
“The Rocamar Hotel, Albufera. Very good”
Lovely hotel. Only rated a 3 star but more like a 4 star. Pool area over looks the sea. Quite a long way down to the beach but there is a lift close to the hotel but does not open until May. Staff were really nice. Breakfast was bufet both continental and English. Dinner service was also buffet but great value. 3 courses fro 13 euros.
“Great hotel in a great location”
The Rocomar Beach hotel is in the best part of Albuferia. It's in the Old Town and overlooks the beach. Access to the beach is by the new elevator but if you are feeling energetc you could use the steps. There are some great restaurants close to the hotel such as a great indian restaurant called Indian Ocean. There is a great authentic Portuguese restaurant just opposite. The hotel was very clean and the spa was excellent. The reception organised a day trip to Seville for us as well as our airport transfers.They were very efficient. a great hotel in a great resort.
“Great location”
The best feature of the hotel is it's location, specially the sea view rooms. The photos on it's website are true but make the hotel look much better than it is. In saying that we have no complaints and would return particularly if we got the same great room rate. Airport transfers with Resorthoppa were excellent.

Excellent location - quiet but very close to old town and the beaches. Very clean and comfortable. Only complaint concerns the provision of breakfast - fried food very unappetizing and tasteless for British tastes but may be ok for other nationalities.
“Good to be back!”
Our 1st visit to Rocamar was in August 1980 - on our honeymoon! This was our 2nd time there - to mark our 30th Anniversary! The Hotel has been improved with the addition of a spa/gym, swimming pool, larger lounge/dining area and outside eating facilities - and air con. The location and views are superb - just up from the beach. Near to old town, and also lift to beach - if you need it! Staff were friendly enough, but might have smiled more often! Food was very good for a 3 star hotel, and room comfortable (though one mattress was a bit tired). TV in rooms, but no tea/coffee making facilities. Will miss the heat and the sound of the waves on the beach! A great place to stay!!
“Good value for money”
Hotel was fine although the breakfast was not good - alternates daily between frankfurters and streaky bacon which was very greasy. Merlin bar outside though was great for breakfast!!! Had a sea view but no balcony, pool area had only deck-chairs - no sunbeds. No courtesy room if travelling home late in the day - advised to shower around the pool! Transfers should be arranged prior to leaving home - Taxi's were expensive for long distances. All in all a good holiday - right on the beach and 5 minutes from town centre or a short road train, taxi or bus ride for the famous "Strip" area.
