“good value for money”
the hotel staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is in a quiet location and it is not very pedestrian friendly. You do need to get a taxi to most places but the hotel does run a complementary shuttle bus to the beach. I would recommend this place for a relaxing holiday. Also their are some lovely and reasonable priced restaurants in Vale Do Lobo which is the next town from quinta da lago.
“would stay there again.”
The hotel staff are very helpfull & kind.they help you in any way they can. The beds were very hard!!! There is a curtisy bus that takes you to various local places,i.e the beach & the local shopping centre. This runs from 9am -6pm.If you don't have a car then you have to get taxis too and from wherever you are after 6pm.I think they should at least run the service until 10pm. Do NOT attempt to walk to the Quinta shopping plaza.(bars & restaurants are there too) even though it is only 1/4 mile. The road is a dangerous one and there are no lights or pavement!
“3 star? should have been 4 Star!”
The Pinus Ria Hotel at Quinta was a reassonably small and personable hotel, spotlessly clean, the facilities were excellent, the staff friendly and professional. The location was ideal for visiting the surrounding area, such as Quinta, Almancil and Villamoura. The hotel belies it's 3 stars and should be 4 star.Even though it is by the 'main road' there is no noise. The only complaint - the bed was firm and comfortable but the pillows were made from concrete. I would use this hotel everytime now that I have discovered it. I have already recommended it to friends as well as the the excellent dervice from Expedia, this is the 3rd time I have used Expedia.
“Out in the sticks so may not suit all but I loved it.”
Hotel staff were delightful and the actual hotel was very nice as was the pool and the service. The room suited me fine except a kettle would have been nice. the fitness suite and sauna/steam were not very inviting. This hotel is not on a bus route so this could be offputting to some folk as the roads had no pavements either. The hotel does however offer a free ferry service to nearest bus stop/town and to the beach to order as it were so that was good, at least when I found out it was, I was not told this at reception. But I would go back there as I prefer to be away from the tattooed scantily dressed holidaymakers I saw in other towns. It was nice and quiet/intimate.
“Holiday we always wanted”
We stopped at the Pinus Ria Hotel early september and throughly enjoyed are stay the staff were friendly and helpful throughout are stay nothing was to much trouble Quinda do lago shopping mall is about 300-400mtrs from the hotel with shops supermarket and restaurants and bars and the food is superb we will certainly be going back next year Thank you for a lovely holiday
“Ria Plaza Resort Excellent value”
Absolutely fantastic place for access to the Vale Do Lobo beach. Free daily transport to the Vale Do Lobo complex, also to Almancil where you can get the bus to Faro or Alberferia. You can also get a bus to the Airport from Faro, so from the hotel to the airport costs 4.75 euros if you get free bus to almancil. Horse riding centre less than five minutes away, also excellent. (turn right out of the hotel) Left out of the hotel 5 mins walk to shop and fantastic pizza and Indian restaurant. Breakfast and service from staff excellent. Not the best place for bars and clubs but there is one at Vale do Lobo. Prices for food and drinks are really reasonable, soup 2.5 euros with bread, Club sandwich with fries 6 euro, food is really good. Also recommend using the free gym, sauna and stream room. Excellent 1.5 hours massage with hot stone therapy for 35 euros. Tennis courts on site and swimming pool. Excellent value for money. Room services everyday brilliant. Would definately go back again.
“Fantastic service”
We had a fantastic holiday at the Pinus Ria. The service was excellent, as were the rooms and the food. Good location but taxis needed to get out and about as there are no pavements. The hotel does run a free beach bus, which is ideal. The Pinus Ria is close to shops and some excellent restaurants.
“Fabulous, peaceful break”
We were here in April and had a fabulous holiday. The place is so peaceful, great food, good size pool and really nice staff. There is also a gym etc but we didn't use it so can't comment. The hotel is pretty isolated but there is a free minibus for trips to the beach and shops, although we found it more convenient to have a hire car. The hotel is near Almancil between Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo and as such is surrounded by good restaurants if you like to go out to eat, although some of them can be pricey. We really enjoyed the friendly staff and great Italian food at Don Camillo's and Sr Frango do a lovely chicken Piri Piri. Marias beach is lovely and was pretty quiet when we were there. I would recommend this hotel to couples who are looking for a peaceful holiday at a good price and are happy to take a hire car.
“great hotel shame about the weather”
we had a super time apart from the rain, I would like to make one sugestion the pool could do with steps at the deep end, also when wet the tiles around the pool were slippery, the staff were excellent as was the customer service, nothing was to much trouble. The restuarant excellen(new chef) would go back for fourth time.
“excellent value for money”
The hotel was clean and modern and on a par with say a Holiday Inn. The location is some way from the beach but they provide a free shuttle bus virtually whenever you ask. I agree with other reviews I read before I went that you cant sleep on the pillows, use the cushions instead! The food is good and reasonably priced. I used it to stopover each way to the airport and would stay there again. Staff were very helpful.
