“Most impressed, excellent value for money.”
We were most impressed with the Junior suite we had booked, it was very clean, roomy, well presented, beds were comfy and adequate for our needs. The bathroom was very clean with power shower over the bath etc. The kitchen area had a large fridge, 2 ring hot plate, cooker, microwave and dishwasher, we felt a washing machine would have been better than a dishwasher. We would certainly return to this Hotel.
“Lovely hotel”
Very impressed with this clean modern hotel. Suite was spacious and kitchen very well equipped. Had huge balcony with patio doors from lounge and bedroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wide selection at breakfast time. Only downside was the quality of the food at dinner. We ate in the restaurant on 2 evenings. Both times the food was not the standard you would expect from a 4 star hotel. We did complain and the manager said that it would be looked into. They are keen to sort out any teething problems that are encountered and are constantly trying to improve the hotel.
“Will go back.”
We thought the description underestimated the hotel. Room was large with beautiful views We did not use all the facilities in the room - cooker, dishwasher, microwave. Pool was set in grassy area and was very pleasant - enough lougers for everyone. Alvor town was 8mins walk away but beach was further - we took our hire car to the eastern beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative comment was that the floor in the room and balcony should have been washed each day as it was looking grubby. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would recommend to our friends.
“Value for money - will use again.”
New hotel with outstanding rooms with balcony. Kitchenette fully equipped. No wi-fi access, but there are 2 PCs with pay per use broadband. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Complimentary buffet breakfast a bonus to have with self-catering facilities. Restaurant opens for dinner. In a nice location, 20mins walk from Alvor village centre and 20mins taxi ride from Portimao. Nice landscaped gardens with pool which would be really nice in summer. Travelled with our 8mths old baby and found hotel facilities/service sufficient for our requirements.
“Very impressed”
We had 2 rooms here over the New Year 2009. Rooms were large, ample storage and comfortable. Kitchen had more than enough equipment and as newly opened everything was in perfect condition. Our only complaint would be the hot water system- There was never enough hot water for 2 consecutive showers. Would def recommend it and would stay again.
“Excellent new aparthotel”
Excellent new aparthotel. The rooms were huge very bright and clean with everything you could need. Balconies long with 2 lots of doors leading on to them but faced north so no afternoon sun. The gardens were not well established yet but will be very nice. Breakfast excellent staff very helpful would reccommend to anyone, although not sure about childrens facilities
“Ideal in many ways, it suited us well.”

“Just Right”
A lovely clean Hotel, friendly staff, and quiet aspect. Rooms very spacious, and kept very tidy. It's a little outside of the town, which is good, but also means you need to think about walking 1/2 a mile to Alvor itself. Breakfast selection was huge, including fizzy wine. My only gripes were that the internet charge was astronomical, they should provide free wi-fi to guests, and that they charge for using the room safe, which I think is no on. Hence I don't give the hotel 5/5.
“Very good apartment hotel”
Very good apartment hotel, we had a two bed apartment which was very spacious, breakfast great, short walk into town, 30 minute walk to great beaches. Alvor has some good seafood restaurants would recommend luna village.
“Recommended Hotel Close to Alvor”
If you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean, comfortable & modern hotel in a quiet convenient loaction close to Alvor then I don't think you'll better the Alvor Village. It's a 5 minute drive to Alvor or about a 20 minute brisk walk. The hotel has rooms that cater for couples or families. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped (with air con). The TV shows BBC (ideal if your wife likes the soaps!). Nice pool, plenty of beds, quiet location. Good quality self-service breakfast with plenty of choice for all tastes. I think they could do with more staff at breakfast to clear tables a bit quicker, but wasn't a major issue. Free Wi-Fi in the lounge area is an added bonus. Staff on the whole were very courteous and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.
