I had been calling since 10:00 a.m. with no answer, and when someone finally answered at 10:55 a.m., I simply asked if a brief 10-minute checkout extension could be accommodated as a courtesy. Instead, I was immediately told that if I was not out by 11:00 a.m., I would be charged a half-day rate.
As a business owner, I understand the importance of customer service and believe it should extend from check-in through check-out. A little understanding and courtesy can make a significant difference in a guest’s overall experience. Unfortunately, this interaction overshadowed what had otherwise been a pleasant stay."
