“Best experience I've had in a long time”
I came away from my short stay as impressed as I could have been. I was welcomed at check in by a small line at the desk which quickly dissipated as the clerk moved quickly and efficiently through the people waiting. After he quickly checked me in, I went to the room which was very nicely appointed for a mid line hotel room. Sitting area, kitchenette, HD flat screen TV - and very clean. Everything worked, the shower was hot and had good water pressure. Although I wasn't there long enough to utilize them, there was a small ool and workout room which also looked well kept with new equipment and as everything else - clean. The breakfast buffet was listed as starting at 7 am but I was downstairs the next morning at 6:30. They were in the process of sticking it and I asked the front desk clerk (who was also quite friendly and helpful) if I could start early and she said absolutely yes. The attendant who was stocking it welcomed with with a warm hello as well. The food was tasty, hot and plentiful. Waffle maker, eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal - all kept stocked and all in a very clean area. I have to say - I was blown away by the friendliness. It didn't feel smarmy or put on either - it seemed genuine from every member of the staff I encountered. I grabbed a comment card on my way out with the intention of sending something back in to let them know how impressed I was. Next time I have to stay in the Albany area again, I will not look around at different hotels.
“Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff”
We only stayed for the one night, as we were heading off to up-state New York. Upon arrival, we received a very friendly welcome and ladies at the reception area gave our kids a lollipop each. Our room was very clean and look pretty much new. It was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located close to a large shopping centre, so there is something to do if you get bored. Not a whole lot else around the area though. We used the fitness room and the kids loved the indoor pool. All in all a pleasant stay.

“Albany Valentine weekend hotel”
We wanted a clean and not too expensive hotel in Albany, close to everything - and Springhill was perfectly what we were looking for. It is 10 mins from downtown on a stright road, it is extremely clean and the breakfast buffet was very nice - a lot better than what we expected - they had eggs, muffins, fruits, yoghurt, toasts, croissants, juice, tea, coffee, waffles....everything you need for a decent breakfast. However, the neighborhood was not great and the pool is very ver small really....but in any case, you NEED a car in Albany, so the neighborhood did not bother us at all.

“Clean, Comfortable, Seamless Professional Service”
I was in Albany to attend a seminar in the downtown area (at another hotel that I chose not to stay in), and decided to stay at this location instead because I didn't want to be in the noisy and busy downtown area. This location proved to be very convenient, just a short direct drive to get downtown, and I appreciated the proximity to the Pine Bush park, where I spent some time walking the afternoon before the seminar. The room was immaculate, equipped with a desk area and free wireless to stay in touch with my office, there was a good Mexican restaurant walking distance from the hotel for dinner the night I arrived, and the buffet breakfast was great. All in all, one couldn't hope for a more successful visit. I would definately stay there again.

Hotel is very clean and comfy. Room is spacious and breakfast is very nice. Microwave, disposable dishes and cutleries, free internet and parking are all wonderful. Absolutely nothing to complain. Will definitly go there again if I am in the area.
“SpringHill in Albany”
I found the hotel excellent in terms of quality of accommodation, free breakfast and free WiFi Internet. Perfect option for a family of 3 and over, due to their spacious rooms and two bed + sofa available. Location close to highway and airport also a big plus.
“Typically great SpringHill”
We wanted to stay one night with the kids on the way to Massachussetts. It's very convenient on and off the Thruway. We picked SpringHill because of the beds - extremely comfortable. My daughter and I swam in the pool (a bit small at maybe 25' by 25'). I had expected the water to be warmer. Liked the fact that the pool towels were there and ready. The only thing that I might not like about the king suite is the lack of divider/wall between the bed and the pull out couch. Once our 3 yr old fell asleep, we pretty much had to be quiet. Perhaps it's better as a business hotel, but I think the family enjoyed it.
