“GREAT MOTEL!”
Very nice occomodations at a very reasonable price. Motel staff was excellant with service and helped with any problem we may have had. If in Albany again will surely choose this motel for our stay.
“Nice Hotel Close to Times Union Center”
Very much enjoyed stay. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Hotel all in all very nice beds were a little worn but not bad. Had an issue with thermostat but they sent someone right away to fix. I believe Hotel is in middle of changing name to Hotel Albany. Hotel was two blocks from Times Union Center which was great for my trip. In walking distance to many restraunts. I recommend, "Just Me" pizza on Pearl St. Awesome Pizza and garlic bites!! If ever I make it to Albany again I would definetly stay again!!
“Great location”
My sisters and I attended a concert at the Times Union Center a very short walk from the hotel. We asked at the desk the next morning for directions to a restaurant close by and were driven by shuttle to an excellent, albeit tiny, diner on Broadway. The staff were accomodating and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

We had an enjoyable stay. The room was great! Lots of room and extremely comfortable. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were great. The kids had a great time. The breakfast was convenient. There was a nice variety of food.

We stayed at the hotel on 3rd Feb for one night soley for the purpose of attending a hockey match at the Times Union Centre. We travelled from Boston using the Greyhound. Location The hotel could not be more convenient for the coach station (next door). It is also about a 5-10 minute walk to the Times Union Centre so very handy. Rooms and public areas etc The rooms inc the bathrooms and all public areas were spotless and very well furnished. All toiletries were supplied and a number of other travel items were available at reception for no charge. Staff We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly and willing to assist with directions, recommendations etc As we left the hotel to walk to the Arena a staff member approached us and offered to drive us there in the hotel shuttle bus. On returning later that night the night staff were very helpful in assisting us with ordering in food from a local takeaway. On checking out the following day at noon we had approx 2 hours to wait on our bus connection. On mentioning this to staff at the desk we were invited to stay within the hotel and make use of the lounge area with free internet access and tea and coffee until nearer our departure time. This was much appreciated. I have to say that our experience at this hotel was first class throughout our stay and I would definately recommend it to anyone staying over in Albany particularly if visiting the city for an event at the Times Union Centre.
“Shuttle service excellent”
I chose this hotel because it offered shuttle service to the Amtrak station and to the Empire Plaza (where attorneys are sworn into the bar). The shuttle service was VERY convenient and responsive. My train arrived around 8 p.m., and I just called the hotel as we neared Albany, and the shuttle came right over. Then, the next morning, shuttles were leaving every half hour, which was very convenient, and the breakfast, though not my usual kind of food, had lots of choices and good coffee. Then, once I was done being sworn in, around 9:30, I called the hotel and they sent the shuttle back over to pick up just me. Since I was the only one in the van, I asked if the driver would take me directly to Amtrak, rather than back to the hotel, and he was kind enough to do so, saving me lots of time. I was very impressed by this service at the Holiday Inn and would recommend it on that basis alone.
