“on the beach”
This brand new hotel is about 10 km out of town along the coast and about 30 meters from the sea itself. The pool is [just] big enough to do laps in and cooking in your room is possible. Public buses connect the hotel with the sights and the town but if you go in low season and don't have a car when the nearby restaurants and bars are closed buy something to eat for the evening and make sure you have a good book to read. Residents were few so I had a great room with a balconey overlooking the sea.
“Beautiful Hotel”
We stayed at 5 different hotels on our recent (Nov. 2011) trip to Sicily and this is by far the second best. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He spoke enough English to get by and help us with directions for our next stop, as well as recommendations for the fabulous Mediteranean Restaraunt up the street for dinner. The Hotel is right on the water as depicted and our family suite was amazing. The kitchenette was fully stocked and came in very handy for making coffee. The rooms were big and comfy. This is absolutely no joke when I say that this Hotel is definitely worth staying at. The complimentary breakfast was also wonderful. We did have trouble navigating around Sicily, so I would strongly recommend a GPS. We had to have help from the local police to get us to our Hotels in both Palermo and Cattania.
“Dated”
This is sort of a beach resort on the low end. The room was very clean and inexpensive but a little on the depressing side. Big room and only two hard wood chairs to sit in. I don't need a palace but I would like a comfortable chair to sit in after a long day. The breakfast was excellent and service was good. Decor leaves a lot to be desired when it came to comfort.
“The location was not what we expected.”
After a extremely wonderfull and long day at the Valley of the Temples, we battled to drive and find the hotel.- The place is nice but not what you expect when you go on a trip to see the temples.- It is more like a place for local families that go to the beach.
“traveling two”
This hotel was great. The views of the sea were very nice. We stayed in a two room suite and to my supprize there was a fully equipt kitichen. Plenty of windows and door to let in the sunshine and fresh air. The hotel is kept very clean. Only down fall is that there is no carpet so every room sends an echo down the hallways. Helpful English speaking staff was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.
“The best view in town”
Nice room with a convenient kitchen. Amazing view of the sea. The hotel feels kind of "out there" in terms of seclusion, but really it is within minutes of a grocery store, McDonald's, and the popular area of "San Leone." Also, the more popular beaches are just around the corner (the beach immediately in front of the hotel is not suited for beach-going).
“Beautiful ocean view. Amazing sunset. Wonderful staff. I would stay again!”
I loved my stay! The staff was very friendly, personable and helpful. In one day I felt like an old friend. The rooms were very clean. Although the wonderful view could only be appreciated from the bedrooms due to the design, my two bedroom accommodation had an huge and amazing balcony. The sunset was exquisite. It was wonderful to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The croissants were delectable. I long to experience them again! The pool was clean and very inviting. Visiting the Valley of the Temples was a quick and easy drive. At the suggestion of the wonderful staff, dinner at a waterside town with a lovely atmosphere and a promenade was another quick and easy drive. On site parking is a plus. There is more to Agrigento then the Valley of the Temples so do ask the staff. I wish I had spoken to them before I planned my length of stay based on my travel book. I would stay again!
“"I would not stay anywhere else"”
This is an excellent hotel. One of the most comfortable in all of Sicily and Italy. It is new and very clean not to mention well kept. Getting to know the owners was the best part. They were very accommodating, helpful, and kind. It was a true pleasure getting to know Giovanni, his brother, and Angelo. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
