“Its ok”

Its an ok hotel. A positive is it is roomy and free car parking apart from this it is old and needs a renovation

“Never again”

Stayed in the past several, due to good location and excess but this was my last visit in this hotel. The hotel is worn out if you take the elevator your are glad you made to your level, sevral lights didn't work in the room and opening the warm water tap you were thinking the alarm is going off. Also the restaurant was closed and the staff I would say fits perfectly in a backpackers hotel. The price and quality are way out of balance.

From now on I will stay in the crown plaza

“Clean rooms but old and tired”

Generally clean, rooms a bit tired particularly bathrooms - main issue as a business traveller was the apparent thin walls and the old nature of the plumbing - when an adjoining room used the tap, it sounded like a foghorn - painful at 4am!

“Leisure Trip, great food, great bed, exceptional staff”

The hotel room cleaniless was good in the bedroom & the main area, & the toilet. The bathroom shower head should be higher and adjustable, someone tall has to bend down while in the shower. The staff were very attentive, lovely, helpful and it made our stay very enjoyable. I understand why people go back there, they were exceptional & made you feel very welcome. I would recommend the hotel to others if they fix the a/c. It is a problem, our rooms was extremely warm, they should put in individual controls, not have a centralized unit. The buffet breakfast provided was ok. The selection of food was good. The king size bed was the best i have slept in, even considering 5 star hotels i have stayed in this was the best.

Area recommendations

CBD, the 5 star hotels are great. There is not a lot of variety in suburbs and when a weekend for the football comes around the West Lakes Hotel is always booked out. Last minute bookings are not usually available, public transport is quite good from the CBD.

“comfy spacious room”

The hotel had a large, comfortable room with coffee service and frig available. Although there was a restaurant on site we made use of surrounding restaurants. Breakfast in the hotel was pricey. Free tram to the city center stopped near by. Helpful desk staff. Everything clean and in working order, free parking. Only negative: worn carpet on stairs.

“Good Value, Little Offered”

We had booked the room a couple weeks in advance, and Expedia gave us a great rate. However, the hotel does not offer much to their occupants. Internet to the room was extremely over priced, and the speed was poor at best. Only WiFi based connection, no wired allowed.
