Property Amenities
The Quinta Real prides itself on providing a blend of simplicity and luxury. A jewelry store offers classic and locally made designs. An on-site spa, from the Facial Design chain based in Mexico City, offers hair and skin care as well as a variety of treatments such as mud baths, hydrotherapy, shiatsu and Reiki massages, and salt scrubs. A small convenience store offers snacks and sundries—important due to the hotel's somewhat remote location. A desk and computer are available for guests who need to take care of a little business during their stay.
Rooms
The Quinta Real's 74 rooms are located in a single five-story building perched on the edge of a cliff above the hotel pool and the beach. Master suites and grand class suites occupy the center units and have step-out balconies and clear ocean views. Simple and elegant room decor includes marble-tiled floors, white-leather wingback chairs, ceiling fans, high ceilings, and sculpted white headboards above the beds. Draperies and bedspreads are rich, neutral-tone fabrics. Amenities include minibars, hair dryers, and cable/satellite TV.
Room Amenities
Dining
Quinta Real Restaurant - Open for breakfast and dinner, the hotel's gourmet restaurant offers international cuisine plus special dishes representing each of the seven localities where Quinta Real operates hotels. Indoor dining room offers white linen tablecloths, tropical decor, and air conditioning. Located on the hotel's highest level, the outdoor terrace affords clear views of Punta Diamante and Revolcadero Beach and is shaded by an imitation slatted-wood roof. Shirt and shoes are required.
Beach Club Restaurant - Between the pool and the beach under a high palapa, the Beach Club specializes in regional seafood dishes, including shrimp and sea bass, plus a rotating menu of chef's specialties. Sandals and T-shirts are acceptable here, as the restaurant also provides drink service to guests lounging at the pool. Open for lunch.
Lobby Bar - A more refined setting for evening cocktails, the Lobby Bar is open daily. Live music on weekends. With leather chairs, flickering candles and live music, the atmosphere is reminiscent of the early years of Acapulco's storied history. Service is offered in the climate-controlled indoor section or outside on the veranda, overlooking the small cliff and beach.
Recreation
The ocean in front of the Quinta Real is usually gentle enough for swimming and playing in the waves. Revolcadero Beach is renowned among surfers who appreciate the right- and left-hand breaks along the shore from Punta Diamante south. The hotel has two swimming pools, including a children's pool. Just down the beach, guests can rent horses. Closer to the main tourist area of Acapulco, guests can find independent vendors offering fishing, scuba diving, golf, and tennis (fees).
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near this Acapulco, Mexico hotel; fees may apply.

“Honest review”
If you are looking for a small hotel that is very nice and are willling to pay a premium then this is for you. However,if you need a private beach and a large pool perhaps there are other alternatives. You have to share the beach with the locals on the weekend and the sand is not like the Gulf Coast or is there much swimming. Prices for food and drinks are above average and unless you really want to go to Acapulco - 20 min cab ride - not anything to do except relax around the pool.
“Great property, great location, away from the crowds”
The Quinta Real Acapulco is a beautiful property located close to the airport on the "quiet side" of Acapulco. If you are looking for a small, quiet property for a couple's getaway or are traveling with young children this is an ideal property. The restaurants on site are very good. The menu is somewhat limited so you will probably want to go off property for some of your evening meals. There is not really anything within walking distance, although there are several nice places just a short cab ride away. The hotel has its own small fleet of cabs that will wait for you while you eat, shop, etc. The pool is not huge but certainly large enough to cool off in. The beautiful beach is semi-private which means the public can walk back and forth along the shore but the public is not permitted to "set up camp" on the beach. Right next to the hotel is public access to the beach where (when we were there just before New Year's) many locals did spend the day. There were times when that got a bit loud during the day but it really was not that big of a deal. The service was very attentive and friendly. Our knowledge of Spanish is very limited but that was not a problem. We would certainly consider going back to Quinta Real Acapulco.
“Hotel with style”
Just far enough away from the city, with most fantastic private beach. Staff really treats everyone like royalty. Was a fun experience.
“No worries place!”
We were for 5 days and were great days in general. We travel with two girls (9&11). There are many important things that stand out as good points, you're a peaceful, quiet, away from all the noise and crowds this is the perfect place. The quality of the food is good and service employees as well. We had a problem on arrival with the tub and moved immediately to a higher category room where we enjoyed our own pool and a fully privileged view. The rate contract included breakfast and had to be checking this every day with the waiter on duty, I heard that recently were acquired by a chain of hotels and apparently are in the stage of migration to a new system. Anyway I hope they keep the same personalized attention to the guests. We will go back to this hotel.
“Great Hotel - Terrible Beds!!!”
The hotel is awesome, tough the beds and pillows are almost unbearably hard.
“Very Impressive”
This hotel is great. The staff and service were the best. Restaurants and views were impeccable. Higly recommended and I will always stay at a Quinta Real hotel.
“Complete Paradise”
Beautiful Hotel and trust me I know hotels. The room was extremely clean just as in the picture. The service is the best with attentive staff. The hotel is very private. The room service(food)was good! They have activities nearby the beach The pool area is huge and whether hanging around under the hotel tents overlooking the beach or in the pool you will love this hotel. The best give yourself a treat the pictures on this site sat it all!
“Acapulco's Finest”
This hotel is very nice; the beach is not very crowded; and there is a lot of security in the area. I went with my wife only; and had a great time. I recommend to rent a car, because the best restaurants anda places to go out are not very near.
“Best of Acapulco”
The service couldn't have been better (and we know service). The location is the best in Acapulco and the property is beautiful. If you're going to Acapulco (should not be at the top of your Mexico list) this is THE place to stay. Forget all the big, nasty tourist towers in the dirty, uninteresting downtown. Since there is very little to do in Acapulco, relax at the pool or on the beach and enjoy the great weather. Although the food was good, the menu was not great, but if you order right you can manage.
“Great for honeymoon”
This hotel is excellent for a honeymoon because its not placed right into downtown, it has an awesome view and the spa is great too. The food is not so great and kind on the slow side but service is very attentive.
