"At check in the male member of staff was friendly but gave no information about the hotel like breakfast, car park, gym, pool etc.
Our room was Sunset Suite which was a large room. The settee was made into a sofa bed already which wasn’t required. I asked a cleaning supervisor if the sofa bed could be changed to the settee but she didn’t speak English. I used the room phone to call reception and asked them but the girl said no it couldn’t be changed back. I asked a cleaner and she gladly changed it back. The bath had some chips in the base, a brown/red dirty mark of something and some bodily hairs within. The rest of the room was clean. The cleaning of the room was very good each day. The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress really needed replaced as there was 2 large hollows in the mattress.
Breakfast was excellent, a good selection of hot and cold food. Staff were very helpful in breakfast.
All-in-all a good hotel. We would go back but only if the mattresses and pillows were renewed. "
"Very nice hotel, but rooms are looking dated now, not 5 star at all. Some staff were great, others not very good, and are not allowed to do certain things. Stayed at the Viceoy last year in Loulé, another level in terms of rooms. Overall, nice holiday and some good things about the hotel, but not 5 star in my view. Also lots of building work going on, so take your earphones if you don’t like diggers…"
"Lovely resort for families, all the staff are very helpful, rooms are great, with all the amenities you need. There’s some great restaurants and fabulous golf within a 2-3 mile radius."
"Fantastic hotel with wonderful staff. Lovely spacious bedrooms, beautiful Pool area and grounds. The staff could not be more helpful, the breakfast choice was excellent, and we enjoyed renting the bikes from Reception and cycling along the boardwalk, taking in the views. We also made use of the free hotel shuttle to the beach. 10 out of 10, thank you!"
