This hotel is a part of golf course which is very far to reach from Chiangmai City.
It is very hard to find reasonably priced taxi to and from hotel. Unless you have a car and know the road in Chiangmai, it is very difficult to reach.
Apart from golf, there is no much activity that you can do.
We are from Hawaii, and flew to Thailand for the Li Peng Lantern Festival this year (2014). We chose to stay at Le Saichan Maejo Resort because it was close to the Mae Jo University where the event was hosted. We knew the moment we arrived that we chose the right place to stay.
We were instantly greeted by our hostess "Dear" (pronounced Dia) and her Father and Mother. Dear is fluent in several languages, English being one of them, so communication with her was easy. She quickly taught us some basic Thai phrases and the proper greetings.
The property was a lovely private Teak Orchid planted by her Father 30 years ago. The walled grounds are impeccably landscaped and there are several water features. There is a waterfall adjacent to the swimming pool, multiple ponds, tree swings, and even an outdoor shower. The Water Tower features a local artist's renderings of famous sites in Chiang Mai.
There are five separate cottages to choose from. Ours was clean and fresh... and Air Conditioned!!! The bed was very comfortable, the shower was spacious and HOT, and the WIFI kept us connected to family and friends who were easily made jealous of our unfolding vacation!
Dear took us to the local market for our first authentic (and delicious) Thai dinner. Without her, we wouldn't have had a clue where or what to eat! She even took photos of us to post on Facebook.
Home cooked breakfast (included) was different every morning, cooked by Dear's sweet Mother. We will be back!!
we had a wonderful one night's stay at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The evening meal we had was very good and excellent value. Our room was very clean & comfortable. We had a superb breakfast in the outdoor dining area. The hotel is set in very pleasant grounds. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would definitely book to stay again the next time we visit Chiang Mai

My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed out stay! It's situated a little out of town which was ideal for being able to go for cycle rides as well as heading in to Chiang Mai town. Om, the owner has made a beautiful hotel and he will go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible-including making any trip bookings and recommending fun things to do. All in all, a fab stay!
