I arrived very late that evening and my room was not available but they had already arranged a room for me at the Atlantico, another one of their hotels that was about 1 block away. The porter carried my bags and spoke fantastic English. The staff at both hotels were VERY helpful for directions, train schedules, and transferring a call to the U.S. for me.
We wanted a base that was near to the sights, and we were so lucky to have found this hotel. Only 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum (maybe a bit less depending on your speed and the heat!) and with lot's of eating places nearby on Via Urbana for the evening, we don't think we could have found a better hotel for the money. We were kindly allowed to check in early by Cristiana who was utterly charming and we made our way to our room via the lift. OK, they aren't the biggest rooms, but we didn't intend to be in the room that long. Everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean and the bed linen was good quality. Considering breakfast is included in the price, the choice was excellent, and you can order freshly cooked scrambled eggs, and a variety of coffees if you so wish. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, you really were made to feel very welcome. When we go back to Rome(which we will do very soon!) we won't even look elsewhere for a hotel, we will book the Hotel Ivanhoe without hesitation.

Fabio and his staff were excellent. They provided 3 excellent recommendations for dinner. The location is perfect. It is at the top of the Spanish Steps and very easy to find. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

"Need to look at this hotel - Great location 09/14"
This is an absolute gem of a hotel in a great location and easily accessible to all places, we made a choice of being closer to the Vatican rather that the coliseum and feel it was the right decision. We walked to each tourist attraction.pther that's the coliseum we got a taxi there but did walk all the way back via the pantheon, they where quite long walks but well worthit as you see lots of great sights and lots of Rome. We didn't get any trams and just that one taxi so it shoes it can be done, it's a perfect location. The hotel staff are amazing very welcoming very helpful and do anything they can to make your stay a little better. It's very well furnished very modern they have everything you need in a city hotel. After seeing some of the other options this hotel definitely has amazing value for money!
Beds soft and comfortable. Very quiet - reception said having a courtyard-facing room helped there. Staff extremely helpful and nice. Location excellent - walking distance from most tourist spots and metro nearby anyway. In a swish area but hotel good value. Limited facilities but it's not that sort of hotel.
