The rooms and public areas would benefit from some decoration as they detract from the fantastic customer service the staff offers. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we were in the area"

"The bedrooms were clean and pretty standard but little things needed attention like the sash window would open but not stay open, nowhere to hang a towel and the sliding door was difficult to operate and lock. The basin was tiny. The public rooms were not very clean and a duster could have been useful as could a mop on step edges. I don’t think the bar had been wiped overnight. Pretty basic but ok for a couple of nights. Staff mostly friendly and some food ok, other things pretty poor with items missing from the description on the menu."

"The hotel does not live up to the advertising. It is not aging well. The lift was broken throughout our stays. The floors are extreme creaky and you hear everybody moving throughout the building. The doors to the rooms slam shut and again can be heard by all. The room my wife and I were put in had a sloping roof that made accessing one side of the bed a difficult process."
