This industrial city and port is the gateway to North Africa three hours by ferry to Morocco. Tarifa, one of the worlds windsurfing capitals, lies 17 kilometres south. There are spectacular views across the bay to the Rock of Gibraltar (14 kilometres). Gibraltar is in fact British territory, complete with red telephone boxes and warm beer. Visit St Michaels Cave, its Siege Tunnels, and the famous Barbary Apes.
