I needed a single room in a hotel near to Halifax Town centre (we were due to do a bit of flash mobbing) and the Old Post Office where we has a meet up and a bit of a sing song. Oh - sorry, if you don't know Embrace go to YouTube and look for Embrace SG20.
I chose the Wool Merchant at random, but it was a peach. I didn't need anything fancy, just B&B but it was nicely located with easy parking and easy to find.

Great location close to city / town, with a rural ambience.
Front desk staff a little aloof and disengaged but still great service. Evening meal (room service) and full English breakfast were both excellent.

"Great value for money hotel in centre of Halifax"
Older style hotel in the centre of the shopping area, was a little difficult to find due to the pedestrian zone but with reception at the other end of the phone we were soon outside, bedroom was clean, comfortable & of good size, breakfast & service was excellent, Italian restaurant in the basement was also excellent. There are 9 car parking spaces on first come first served basis but this wasn't a problem as we were there at a weekend. Staff were really friendly and had plenty of local information to make your stay in Halifax even more enjoyable. All in all we had a great weekend at the White Swan.
